Fun-Filled Days at Dougal’s Doggy Daycare

At Dougal's Doggy Digs we offer a pawsome day care service where your dog will have the company of people and other dogs during the day.

If your worried about your dog being left at home alone all day, then we can offer fun, exercise and company while you are out.  Drop your dog off here in the morning on your way to work and collect on the way home.

Here is an example of what your dog will get up to at Dougal’s Doggy Day-care.

7.30 - 9.00 - Arrivals at Dougal’s

9.00 - 12.00 - It’s time to play!

Dogs are put into groups depending on their personalities, size and exercise requirements. Exercising the dogs in smaller groups is beneficial for all the dogs individual needs. For example if we were to put a nervous dog with more energetic boistorious dogs then this is likely to increase that dogs fear. Instead we would put this dog in a small quiet group with dogs of a similar size or smaller to help encourage positive social experiences.

We have 4 separate outdoor areas for the dogs and our large indoor purpose build daycare building.

Some of the activities your dog will enjoy during their day are:

  • Playtime with their pawpals

  • Scentwork

  • Snuffle mats

  • Enrichment toys e.g., food puzzles, Kong wobblers

  • Ball pit

  • Outdoor enrichments with our playground for dogs

  • Treasure hunt

  • Basic obedience (we encourage the dogs to practice basic training for positive rewards)

  • Fun photoshoots

12.00 - 2pm - Time for a Snooze!

Dogs require more sleep than us humans (approx 8-14 hours per day) more for puppies and older dogs. We have quieter areas where they can take some time out for some peace and quiet and recharge those batteries. Older dogs often enjoy some time relaxing on one of our big comfy sofas or one of the Berkeley raised dog beds. There are 6 large individual pens with comfy beds and blankets if needed, these are super to give dogs complete privacy and ideal when a dog needs fed away from distractions. If a dog needs fed while at daycare this will be done during quiet time, dogs are always fed separately.

2pm - 4pm Afternoon Playtime!

In the afternoon the dogs will get access to the outside areas for toilet time after their little snooze.

Dogs can enjoy some more playtime with their pawpals, indoors and out. They love to play in the ball pit where we often hide some little treats to add to the pawsomeness.

We do fun photoshoots and upload images and videos to our social media accounts so you can see all the fun they’ve had a Dougal’s Daycare.

4pm - 6pm - Home Time!

Pick up time, you will have one very happy, tired and content doggy at the end of a great day at Dougal’s
